Summer Fun; Having a Blast

I must have summer heat on the brain.  First the wagon and now popsicles.  I remember, when I was younger, the ice ceam trucks playing those cute little tinkling tunes.  I would beg my Mom for some money everytime, but we rarely ever got to visit that blessed ice cream truck.  I now know why... Can you say expensive??? Sheesh!  Luckily, my Mom was good about keeping the freezer full with frozen goodies.  What could get better than a wagon party with popsicles on a hot summer day?  Such sweet relief and cool summer fun!

My hubby and I are huge fans of Dreyers fruit bars.  If you have not tried them I totally suggest it.  They are so good on a hot day!  I think they are only like one point or something on Weight Watchers too!

I heat embossed the sentiment.

I just love Peachy Keen Face Stamps!

Well, off to have a strawberry popsicle and craft some more!  Mmmm!

Join the Party Wagon!!!

Wa Wooo!!!!

My noise above sounds more like a train... ha ha!

Well, I really need to stock up on different Birthday cards.  There were so many Birthdays in the family over the last couple months that I ran out.

Sad to say... This is not one of my favorite cards.  There are definetly some things I would do differently the next time around.  For one, I would have popped my balloons up and made sure the baker's twine was behind the balloon. I don't know why I glued the balloons down first. Oh well, craftting isn't perfect and it is still pretty cute.

This card makes me want to be a kid again and play in my red wagon all summer long!  We had so many great times in our red wagon when I was a kid.

Then you shoulda put a ring on it...

{Giggle}

For some reason this card makes me think of that song a little bit.  I will be attending a shower at work for one of the most adorable people I know.  She will be tying the knot the first part of August so I wanted to make her a card.  I was trying a different color approach, stretch my creativity, and it turned out pretty cute.

Front of the card.  Lots of layers = Lots of Fun!

This was such a cute quote I couldn't help but put it in! Kids do say the darndest things!  Sometimes I wish I could be like that; say what is on your mind and people think it is cute and funny.  Good thing we have kids to say what we think!

Not that I would share my cricut toys... I get protective over my toys!  My hubby has used my cricut a couple of times and I find myself "supervising" the whole thing just to make sure my cricky is going to be alright.

Silly I know.

Pink Stamper Design Team Call - Challenge

Well, I have decided to take a different kind of plunge in the crafting world.  I have never participated in a crafting challenge so this is a little exciting for me.  I have been a huge follower of My Pink Stamper for quite some time now and love all her ideas and she has a great fun personality that I really enjoy in her videos.  I have faithfully watched her videos, especially when figuring out my cricut expression, and learned so much.  Every time she posts the opportunity to be apart of her design team I sit and think how awesome it would be to be on the team.  I have been nervous to try out because I could still improve on my skills.  However, it all the sudden hit me, what is the point of that?  I love crafting and I would love to share my growth and progress with others so I am taking the plunge.  YAY!!!!

The challenge is to use your favorite cartridge and the following colors:
Orange
Turquoise
Green
Brown
(Any other color you would like)

I really had to think about this for a little while.  I was a little unsure what I was going to do because the colors are a little of a stretch for my creativity but once I came up with a plan I really LOVED the colors together!  I already love challenges!

I saw this adorable idea for a card on Ruthie's, September Ninth, blog.  I loved that it was a free standing pop up card.  This is one of my new favorite kind of cards!  SOOO CUTE!!!

This is the view what it looks like when it is closed.  You just pull the tag part sticking out and it turns into a free standing card like the picture above!  Awesome huh?

Side View of the free standing beauty!

Well, that is my project!  Wish me luck!  I am really anxious and excited!

Exciting!!!

No project on this post.  I just wanted to share my excitement.  My hubby let me spoil myself a little!  I LOVE when this happens!  I am getting some sweet packages that are going to be arriving in the mail and it really does feel like, 'Christmas in July!'  I have Papertrey Ink Kraft paper on it's way (always a favorite of mine.)  I have some cricut cartridges coming, one of those would be the pop up cartridge that I have been trying to track down for months!!! It is always sold out.  I got my Bow Easy and I am already head over heels for it!  Such perfect little bows.  AND... I had over 1500 cricut rewards points so I got a cartridge and a silicone cover for my Gypsy!  WA-Hoo!!! I am so excited! :)

I am now singing in my head...     "These are a few of my favorite things!"

Birthday Card - Pearls

I made this awesome Birthday card and I got the background idea from the blog, "Scrappin Navy Wife," she comes up with the coolest things.  Basically I took a normal piece of white cardstock covered it with music notes I cut out from contact paper.  I stuck the contact paper on my cardstock and then covered my paper with Tim Holtz Distress ink.  Once dried I sprayed with ranger ink perfect pearl mist to give it a shiny look.  You can't really see it in the picture but it is really pretty in person.  Once it was all dried I took the contact paper off and had the cute little pattern!  Love it!  My Birthday cake came from the Sweet Treats cart and I used stickles to make it all sparkly!
